Product Description
The Razor Solar Hybrid Asset Tracker solves a specific problem that comes up constantly for Arizona contractors and agricultural operators: how do you keep a tracker charged and reporting on equipment that has no engine and sits in the sun for weeks at a time. The answer is built into the design. A solar panel continuously recharges the internal battery, extending tracker life without manual swaps or hardwiring into a power source.
The Solar Hybrid operates in two modes automatically. When the asset is connected to power and moving, it pings every 20 to 30 seconds as a full real-time tracker. When it is sitting still between jobs or during off-season storage, it conserves power and reports location twice per day. When it starts moving again without being connected to power, it shifts to a five-minute ping interval. For NH3 bars moving through fields in the Yuma Valley or rental equipment staging across Pinal County job sites, that automatic adjustment means you always have the right level of visibility without draining the battery.
Installation requires no tools for the basic setup. The included magnetic cradle mounts in seconds and holds the tracker securely in place. For operations that need real-time tracking on a trailer's electrical system, a power pigtail allows hardwiring to the trailer lights. A 12V outlet charging option is also available for faster or overnight charging when the sun is not enough.
The Solar Hybrid connects to the Razor Tracking platform alongside your other GPS-tracked vehicles and assets. Geofence alerts, daily location reports, vehicle map history, and dispatch routing all live in one dashboard accessible from desktop, tablet, or mobile.
For Arizona operations managing trailers, pull-behinds, scissor lifts, generators, and other non-powered equipment across wide distances, the Solar Hybrid is a set-it-and-forget-it tracker that keeps working as long as the sun is up.
